<p>Loading a dishwasher can be an art form, requiring creativity to make the most out of each run. GE Appliances recognizes the skillfulness behind loading a dishwasher, with the addition of a flexible third rack on its newest Café&trade; and Profile&trade; series dishwashers. The rack accommodates cutlery and other flat kitchen utensils, resulting in loading flexibility and freed-up space in the bottom two racks for dishes, pots and pans, and drinking containers of varying sizes.</p>

<p>Loading the dishwasher properly and fully is one way consumers can save energy in the home, and the third rack can help. It extends fully and is made up of two trays that can be removed or repositioned. Functional and flexible, the design allows consumers to use one tray for loads with tall stemware and platters that require more depth, or two trays for loads that include extra silverware and cutlery.</p>
<p>Additional features of the new Café and Profile series dishwashers include:</p>

<li>GE’s most advanced wash system with 102 cleaning jets and reversing quad blade wash arm</li>
<li>The industry’s first dedicated bottle-wash jets - a total of 16 - have been integrated into the top rack to tackle the inside of hard-to-clean containers</li>
<li>Variable pressure jets that spray at 100 percent force for some spins, but the next spin could spray at 60 percent so that different areas on the dishes are hit with water</li>
<li>A 40-decibel sound rating that is one of the lowest in the industry and an LED status light on the door allow consumers to see - not hear - where the dishwasher is in its cycle</li>
<li>Cabinet-depth flush installation and a stainless steel interior give the dishwasher a true built-in look and seamless inside appearance</li>
<li>LCD control panel enhances the sleek overall appearance</li>

<p>The Café dishwasher (CDT765SSFSS) is available in stainless steel finish. The Profile model (PDT760SSFSS) is available in both stainless steel and custom panel versions.</p>

<p>With the popularity of front load washing machines over the past ten years, it’s hard to imagine there are still an estimated 76 million top load washers in use, many of them more than ten years old and terribly inefficient. For many consumers, the lack of efficiency has cast a negative pall on all top-loaders.  GE is changing that with its new high-efficiency (HE) top load washer and dryer. It’s the classic top-load styling with a few bells and whistles that are sure to excite, like SmartDispense reservoirs that can hold up to two months worth of detergent and fabric softener and automatically release the right amount for each load. No more mess!</p>

<p>The washer is pre-programmed with all the common settings you’d expect from a new machine as well as some advanced features like a Stain Removal Guide. You tell the machine what you spilled on your favorite blouse (tomato, oil, dirt or grass), and it will automatically adjust its settings to achieve optimum stain-fighting performance. You can also opt for Steam Assist, another stain-fighter that uses steam to penetrate deep into fabric fibers, loosening stains yet protecting your fabrics. If you prefer a custom setting, there’s an option for that, too.</p>

<p>At 5.0 cubic feet, it’s GE’s largest capacity washer and dryer pair, providing flexibility to wash just about everything you need: large, bulky loads like bedding to small, delicate items. Despite the washer’s large capacity, its ergonomic design makes it easy for just about anyone to reach in and touch the bottom without straining and LED lights illuminate the inside to ensure no sock is left behind.</p>

<p>Beyond the obvious, the lid on the washer offers some other great functionality. It’s made of clear glass, so you can take a peek inside without opening the washer mid-cycle. And hydraulic technology allows the lid to open and hold at various angles and offers a soft, controlled close every time.</p>

<p>The matching dryer communicates directly with the washer through a system called Clean Speak Communication. By the time you advance your load, the washer will have already told the dryer which presets to use to achieve better clothing care and time efficiency. The dryer also has steam options, perfect for refreshing lightly worn clothes or de-wrinkling stored or wrinkled clothes.</p>

These front-load machines are the first of their kind: ergonomically designed to minimize bending and strenuous reaches.</p>

<p>Since front-load machines were first introduced, many manufacturers have recommended buying pedestals to raise the height of the washer and dryer to a more comfortable loading and unloading level for most people. However, the purchase is an added expense and leaves the appliances too high to use as folding or work space for most consumers.</p>

<p>The RightHeight&trade; washer and dryer's built-in risers raise the appliance openings by 7 inches and leave the top level at 47 inches, a workable height for folding, pre-treating, flat-drying space or storage. </p>
